For the first time ever, Pantone released two colors of the year instead of just one for 2016. Intended to be paired together in fashion, beauty and other aspects of our visual world, Serenity and Rose Quartz are distinctly different yet a natural combination.

So how can you incorporate these colors into your style this year? According to Pantone, many designers have already included Serenity and Rose Quartz in their recent collections. You’ll also see the pairing in plaids, floral prints, stripes, blocking and other patterns; plus, it’s popping up in various textures such as wool, faux fur, linen, etc., so you can wear it all year long. Another way to mix in the trend is with jewelry, handbags and shoes. Look for Serenity and Rose Quartz in these items to add a pop of color to your outfits.

What colors can you wear with it? Pantone suggests wearing these tranquil colors with mid-tones such as cool greens and purples or splashy colors such as lime green and silver or deep hues of rose and brown—each combination will create a completely new look.

You can also play up the color combo in your outfits by adding it to your makeup palette. For example, warm Rose Quartz works well for lips and cheeks and pairing cool Serenity with neutral tones for your eyes creates a fresh, trendy look.
